JetBot Mecanum equipped with Jetson Nano

Research and development cart robot/AGV: This is a four-wheel drive cart robot based on the JetBot project proposed by NVIDIA.

Development on the Jetson Nano can be conducted using Jupyter Notebook, a web browser-based development and analysis tool. It can be utilized in a wide range of fields as a learning tool for GPU computing, as well as a base platform for research, development, and implementation that combines information processing with the driving performance of large cart robots. This product features mecanum wheels as the driving wheels. In addition to moving forward and backward and turning left and right, it is also capable of lateral movement, making it particularly well-suited for body control using object recognition. Its ability to handle delicate control, such as slight position adjustments and precise approaches to targets, is a notable characteristic. By enabling modern information processing technologies, such as object recognition using machine learning, to be output immediately to practical large cart robots rather than being confined within a computer, it serves as an effective tool for rapid research and development with implementation in mind.

Development of Automated Transport System

Introduction to joint research with Shikoku Vocational Ability Development University.

We are engaged in joint research with Shikoku University of Occupational and Environmental Health on the development of an "automated transport device system." Our goal is to complete a system that controls the movement of a cart robot via a tablet device. Currently, we have achieved movement control through route specification using touch operations, and the basic system for movement control using sensors and cameras has been completed. In the future, we plan to integrate the entire system and enhance its completeness as a product. [Overview] - As an automated transport device system, we are developing a cart robot using mecanum wheels and an operation terminal to be mounted on it (the cart robot uses a commercially available product). - The cart robot is being developed with the goal of autonomous movement by specifying routes based on a map and using sensor position measurement. - The operation terminal is implemented primarily with cart robot control functions. - We aim to enable communication between the cart robot and the operation terminal via Bluetooth for remote operation. *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.
